Helen Bennett likes to do things that help people remember how much it’s worth it to trust and depend on each other. She is passionate about building resilient community rooted in ritual and focused on social justice, which has been the foundation for her work as a community organizer, facilitator, network weaver, spiritual director, and movement chaplain for 10+ years.

Helen is a co-founder of Tzedek Lab, a national network of Jews and allies, political educators, organizers, spiritual leaders and cultural workers building collective competency to politicize, transform, and inspire the Jewish community into collective action against racism, antisemitism, and white supremacy. Her role is Director of Spiritual Care & Network Weaving.

Helen has supported Kavod Boston, IfNotNow, and Never Again Action around leadership development, creating structures for support, and embodying liberatory movement culture, and has worked with the Ayni Institute and the Momentum Community to develop trainings on decentralized organization and cultivating reciprocity. She is on the Advisory Team for the Inside Out Wisdom and Action Project, and is featured on the Healing Justice Podcast, How We Gather: Care of Souls, Healing the Healers, and Faith Matters Network.

Helen grew up in Seattle, Washington and is now based in Massachusetts, on the ancestral lands of the Nipmuc & Pocomtuc people. Her ancestors came from Romania, Russia, Lithuania, and Poland. Lilacs are Helen’s favorite flower!
